16. Adele

All set to strike a pose for the Vogue cover this spring, singer-songwriter Adele is slowly but surely becoming a style icon for non-size zero women across the world.

Adele was a new entrant on this list.

15. Nicole Scherzinger

The sexy lead singer of Pussycat Dolls and an X Factor judge, Nicole Scherzinger has had something of an eventful year.

After having broken up with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, it was reported in July 2011 that she was back with him. Barely months later, on October 21 it was learnt that they had broken up again.

Scherzinger came 15 in the list of top 20 beauty icons of 2011.

14. Katherine Jenkins

Yet another newcomer on the list and another hottie who's had a seesaw of a year on the personal front.

The sexy soprano Katherine Jenkins got engaged and broke up all in a matter of 2011 was also voted as one of the top 20 beauty icons of 2011.

13. Amy Childs

Also making an appearance on the list was reality TV star and presenter Amy Childs.

"While the majority of ladies in the list are natural beauties, we also see the TOWIE effect with Amy Childs appearing on the list for the first time with her Essex tan, hair extensions, and false nails," Sara Wolverson, Director of Beauty at Superdrug was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
